How Nano Banana Video handles the images, prompts and account details you give it, who else sees them and how to get them deleted.

Last updated: 2026-11-04

Nano Banana Video (nano-banana-video.net) makes short AI videos from an image you upload or a scene you describe. Below is everything the site collects to do that, what it is used for, which outside services touch it and how long it stays. "We", "us" and "our" mean the people who run nano-banana-video.net.

The short version

  • Your images and prompts are used for one thing: making the videos you ask for. We don't sell them, post them anywhere or use them to train AI models.
  • The images you upload and the videos you make are stored so you can come back to them; ask us and we delete them.
  • Creating a video needs an account and credits. Credits are not on sale yet, so we take no payments and hold no payment details.

Information you hand over

Images and prompts. The picture you upload as the starting frame or reference (your browser shrinks and compresses it first), the text you write to describe the scene or motion, and the settings you choose, such as aspect ratio, length and sound.

Account details. When you sign up we receive your email address, a name if you add one, and either a password, which we store only as a one-way hash, or the basic profile a sign-in provider such as Google passes to us. Your account also holds your credit balance and the list of videos you have made.

Waitlist email. A few tools or options aren't ready yet. Picking one opens a form that offers to let you know once it works. If you send it, we keep your email address, the page and option you chose, your answer to " What do you need it for?", and a salted one-way hash of your IP address that helps us filter out bots. That address is used for that single notice only: we don't verify it, put it on a mailing list or pass it on.

Emails to us. If you write to support, we keep the thread so we can answer.

Information the site collects on its own

  • Generation history. Which tool and settings were used, when, whether the video finished, how many credits it cost, and links to your uploaded image and the result.
  • Abuse protection. To stop automated abuse, we may keep a salted hash of your IP address (never the address itself) and an identifier your browser works out from its own settings.
  • Server logs. Like every website, our host handles your IP address, browser type and the pages you open, to serve the site and fend off attacks.
  • Visit counts. Plausible Analytics counts visits without cookies and without anything that identifies you; we see totals such as page views, countries and referring sites.

Cookies and local storage

Signing in sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in until you sign out. If you reach us from another site or a link with campaign tags, a cookie remembers where you came from for 30 days so a sign-up can be attributed to it. Your browser's local storage keeps the device identifier above, your theme choice and the video you were setting up (image, prompt and settings), so it is still there after you sign in or leave the page. Clearing the site's data removes all of it.

Outside services

A handful of services help run the site. Each one gets only what it needs for its part:

  • Cloudflare — hosts the site and stores the images you upload and the videos you create (Cloudflare R2); like any web host it sees your IP address when you connect.
  • AI Hub and the AI model providers behind it — AI Hub is the gateway that passes your image and prompt to the models that do the work: Nano Banana (Google) for images and Gemini Omni Flash or Veo 3.1 Fast (Google) for video; the providers that run these models process your input to create the result and may keep it for a limited time.
  • Plausible Analytics — counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.

We also hand over information when the law requires it, or when it is needed to prevent fraud or protect someone's safety. We never sell personal information or share it for advertising.

How long things are kept

  • Uploaded images and finished videos: stored in Cloudflare R2 for as long as you need them for the service. Deleting a video in My Creations takes it off your list; email us and we erase the stored files too.
  • Copies at the AI providers: the providers that run the models may keep your input and the result for a limited time, then remove them.
  • Abuse-protection records: only as long as they are useful against abuse; they never contain a raw IP address.
  • Waitlist entries: until the notice for that feature has gone out, or until you ask us to remove yours, whichever happens first.
  • Account data: until you ask us to close your account.

Your rights

Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, send you a copy, fix it or erase it, uploaded images and videos included. You will hear back within 30 days. Where you live (the EU, the UK or California, for example) may give you further rights, including complaining to your data protection authority.

Children

Nano Banana Video is for people aged 18 and over. Don't upload images of anyone younger than 18. If we find out we hold one, we delete it.

The same age limit applies to the waitlist; if we learn a child has joined it, we delete the entry.

Keeping data safe

All traffic uses HTTPS. Uploads are checked to be real images before they are saved, and each file sits at a long random address that is not published anywhere. Anyone who has that address can open the file, so share result links only with people you trust.

Where your data goes

Our host and the AI providers run servers in many countries, so your data may be processed outside your own.

Updates to this policy

Whenever this policy changes, the date at the top changes too. If a change affects how your images are used, we will announce it on the site before it applies.
